The submission stated that no evidence could be found that a government entity collects meteorological information. The World Meteorological Organisation states that the Botswana Meteorological Services are providing this information: see here https://www.wmo.int/cpdb/botswana. However information on this agency is almost not existing on the WMO website and it is not clear what the exact tasks of the agency are, and whether it shares responsibilities (i.e. provision of data for aviation, or similar). The WMO links to a website hosted by IBIS. It could not be verified whether it is a data provider contracted by government or not. Therefore the submission counts as valid.
