Data should be available for all air monitoring stations or air monitoring zones in a country. The Index focusses on key pollutants as defined by the World Health Organisation. According to a 2015 news report "Air pollution is not specifically addressed in national law as an environmental concern and there are no nationally accepted standards in effect."
