This data category requires results by constituency / district for all major national electoral contests. Election data informs about voting outcomes and voting process. What are electoral majorities and minorities? How many votes are registered, invalid, or spoilt? To enable highest transparency, the Index assesses polling station data. Data for electoral zones does not suffice. The Index consulted the National Democratic Institute (NDI) to develop this data category. Information is available accounts for total votes, general results and rejected ballot papers, (https://www.gov.im/categories/home-and-neighbourhood/elections-and-voting/general-election/election-results/) on PDF files, updated timely and is open licensed (https://www.gov.im/about-this-site/open-government-licence/). Submitter states that there’s a Committee appointed to review most recent general election processes to increase transparency.
