Openly licenced Yes "Is the data openly licensed/in public domain?" is hard to answer. The data is almost completely openly licensed BUT there is "Reklamebeskyttelse" (ad protection) Companies can specify that they do not want to be spammed by ads. Users of the data need to confirm that they are not abusing the address information in the company register to spam the listed companies and that, when they provide the address information to a thirdparty, this party does not abuse the address information.

Your submission is valid. Thank you very much for contributing to the Global Open Data Index. The Central Business Register website offers company information (register number, name, address, start date, company type, advertising protection, and status) for free online through a search mask, so it is necessary to know the name of an entity in order to find it. Results are viewed individually in .HTML format and can then be downloaded in .PDF. There is the option for Mass-downloading JSON but it requires requesting access to data by writing to after which you will receive an email with details about the access, including a request for signing a statement that you will comply with the condition for receiving data on advertising protected devices. Note that there are delays. This option provides the ability to retrieve a larger amount of data and / or regularly conduct searches in the data via ElasticSearch. Data is updated near real-time, and is based on ElasticSearch and JSON. It is free to use this option, but access is subject to acceptance of the terms of advertising protection. The type of license is Open. "The Authority shall provide a worldwide, free of charge (note that not all Danish Business Authority products are made available for free), non-exclusive, and otherwise unlimited right to use data freely bl.a. [sic] can: copied, distributed and published, modified and combined with other material, for commercial and non-commercial[sic]."
